Documentation

How each part of Solid Manager works: what it does, when to use it, and how it connects to the rest of your match week.

Dashboard

A quick overview: recent results, upcoming fixtures, team performance at a glance, and top scorers — all in one view.

Review team stats (wins, draws, losses), recent match snapshots, and next fixture. Quick access to key metrics without navigating elsewhere.

Use it as a launchpad to jump into match details and Match Live when it’s time to work. The richer your data, the more useful this view becomes.

Seasons

Seasons are the top-level container for all your data. For data to make sense, follow the tactical hierarchy: Seasons > Competitions > Matches.

Create a season first — it’s the mandatory prerequisite to activate any statistics. Name it clearly (e.g. "2024 Season") and set the date range.

All competitions, matches, and player stats roll up into the active season. You can view existing seasons and keep planning tidy across cycles.

Calendar

A timeline view of your upcoming matches and schedule. Use it to spot what’s coming and avoid conflicts when planning training sessions.

See all fixtures across competitions in chronological order. Filter by competition or date range to focus on what matters right now.

Combine calendar planning with venues so the whole staff has a single source of truth for match days and locations.

Venues

Venues are the stadiums and fields where you play. More than just names — register the field type (Turf vs. Natural) to analyze performance by surface.

Add venues with key metadata: name, field type, address and capacity. The field type unlocks surface-based performance comparisons over time.

Select a venue to view details and reuse it across matches for consistent reporting. Surface data feeds into advanced analytics automatically.

Matches

Matches are the core of your season. Each fixture belongs to a competition and records date, time, location, rival, and home/away status.

Open a competition and use "New Match" to add a fixture. Set the match day, rival (create one if needed), venue, and status (Scheduled or Completed).

From the Matches page, see all fixtures across competitions. Open any match to edit details, update the score, or launch Match Live to capture real-time events.

Competitions

Solid Manager adapts to any football format (5-a-side to 11-a-side): leagues, cups, and tournaments — all within a season.

Configure scoring rules, match duration, and card limits per competition. Use Batch Upload to import rival teams in bulk and generate fixtures fast.

For Cup-style tournaments, the system creates balanced groups automatically. Inside each competition, track standings, progress, and match history.

Match Sheet (Match Live)

The match sheet is where you record what happens on the pitch. Only data captured here feeds the performance analysis.

Log goals, assists, cards, and substitutions in real time. The possession slider tracks who dominates the ball — the system calculates the real percentage based on effective time.

Record substitution entries and exits so the system automatically calculates minutes played per player. When done, mark the match as completed to lock in stats.

Squad

Your squad is the full list of players on your team. Invite them via link so they can complete their own profile (shirt size, dominant foot, position, etc.).

Each player has basic info (name, email, birth date) and on-field info (number, position, dominant foot). Set health status and view detailed performance stats per season.

Use "Invite Player" to generate a link. The player opens it, enters their details, accepts terms, and is added to your squad — no manual data entry needed.

Lineups

Build your starting eleven and bench for any match. Design lineups and tactical variations before match day.

Select a match, drag players onto the field in their positions, and add substitutes on the bench. Save the lineup when done.

Saved lineups can be loaded on the Match Sheet so attendance and events are pre-filled. Combine with performance data to make informed selection decisions.

Tactical Board

Use the interactive Canvas to design lineups, plan tactical variations, and communicate ideas quickly with your staff.

Draw movement arrows and pressing zones, drag players into formation, add shapes and text annotations. Everything you need to visualize a game plan.

Export your schemes to share them with your staff. Import setups to reuse formations across matches and competitions.

Coming soon: deeper tactical workflows, pre-built formation templates, and enhanced export options.

Match Analysis

When a match is marked as Completed, Solid Manager turns the events from the match sheet into performance metrics. The more data you record, the more accurate they are.

Every metric accounts for position: the same action scores differently depending on the player's role (a block is worth more for a center-back than for a forward). Minutes played are factored in so bench players are compared fairly against starters.

Based on match data, the system automatically assigns player profiles: Organizer (high RCB, low risk), Engine (high EPM and AT volume), and Finisher (maximum offensive efficiency in the final third).

To get started: check RCB for your midfielders and ED for your center-backs. Reading two or three metrics together tells you more than any single one.
